One of our biggest fundraisers of the year is manning a concession stand during The Players Championship. This long-standing tradition is a fun way to raise money, and be a part of the tournament. Won’t you join us? See the list of jobs that are available.

2017 THE PLAYERS Concessions Information
Concession Volunteer Information
Levy Prom Golf would like to thank you for participating in the 2017 THE PLAYERS Championship at the TPC Sawgrass Golf Course in Ponte Vedra, FL. We as a company and as a team look forward to working with you at this spectacular event. It is very important that each volunteer read and understand the following information prior to volunteering at the event.
If you have any questions or concerns about the following information, please contact Suzette at (904) 274-6531.
A complimentary shuttle will take you from the designated parking lot to the golf course. The shuttle will run continuously throughout the day. Please plan ahead for traffic; it is going to be busy!

It is always a good idea to arrive at the parking lot ONE HOUR prior to your shift time- allowing time to park, ride the shuttle, check-in, and walk to your location on course. It always helps to have the additional time on your first day, when you are learning your way around the course. Once you become familiar, you will know the proper timing required.
Please be considerate; both the church and school generously allow us to use their parking facilities during the event. Please drive slowly through the parking lot.
Once off the parking shuttle, you will need to locate the white Levy Prom Golf Check-In tent to receive a map with the directions to your assigned concession tent and a credential to enter the course. For those that have volunteered in the past – the check in tent and shuttle drop off are different from previous years. Please Check-In every day. Keep in mind that you will need to report to your concession tent at your scheduled time, which means you need to plan ahead. The Levy Prom Golf Staffing Coordinator will only be at the check in tent until 12:00 PM, as the last shift of the day is at 11:00 am, so it is important that you arrive on time. You will not be able to pick up your credential should you arrive later than 12 pm.
Once you have arrived at your assigned Levy Prom Golf Concession Tent, please sign-in on the Concession sign-in sheet. You will have to sign-in and sign-out in the tent you are assigned in order for your organization to receive credit for your shift. If you leave early and do not complete your scheduled shift, your organization will not receive credit for your time. If you are asked to move to another tent to help, please sign out at the first tent and sign in again at your new location. You will still receive full credit for the shift if it is completed in the two locations. Flexibility from volunteers is always much appreciated, especially on the busy weekend days. You do NOT need to top at the Check In after your shift.
Items NOT Allowed On the Golf Course
Volunteers will not be allowed on shuttle buses with the following items:
- Backpacks or Bags (larger than a small purse – 6”x6”x6”)
- Banners or Signs
- Cameras or Camcorders (other than Mon-Weds without cases)
- Lawn or folding chairs
- Noise producing electronic devices
If you have any of these items they will be confiscated by Security before entering the Tournament.
All volunteers are required to wear:
- Khaki – colored Pants, Capris, Shorts, or Skort (no Cargo pockets)
- White collared Shirt or Organization Shirt (must be approved by Staffing Manager)
- Comfortable, close-toe shoes a clean white polo shirt with khaki pants, capris, or shorts (must be to the knee).

All staff will be given a blue THE PLAYERS apron when they arrive at their tent. The aprons must be left with the manager at the end of each day.
Please keep personal items to a minimum. There is no specific place for you to put items in your concession tent although if you choose, you may put them under the counters. Levy Prom Golf and the PGA Tour are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Tank tops/spaghetti straps and sandals/open toed shoes are not allowed in accordance with the Health Code Regulations. Volunteers who are not in proper attire will be turned away.
Employee Meal Policy/Breaks
Each employee working is entitled to a meal for each shift worked. You may choose a sandwich item, chips or cookie and a non-alcoholic beverage. Certain items may not be available to volunteers. Your Levy Prom Golf Tent Manager will let you know when you are able to take a break. It is important that the breaks be scheduled when large galleries are not coming through.
If you have special dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own lunch. We have limited food menus available.
Volunteers working at the registers in all concessions MUST be 21+ and will be required to card anyone purchasing an alcoholic beverage that looks 30 years of age or younger. If they can not produce a valid form of identification, they cannot be served. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! There is a TWO drink limit per person. Individuals will not be allowed to purchase more than 2 drinks at a time. Also, if any individual is intoxicated, you can’t serve them. You could be held liable if you knowingly serve a minor or someone that is intoxicated. A Levy Prom Golf Manager will be training all volunteers on these policies prior to beginning their shift.
Also, consuming any type of alcoholic beverage before, during or after your shift is NOT allowed. If you are caught drinking alcoholic beverages while working you will be asked to leave, and your organization will not receive credit for your shift.
The PGA TOUR prohibits the solicitation of tips. Tip cups/jars of any kind will not be allowed on the countertops in Levy Prom Golf concession tents. However, if tips are received, please feel free to accept them and place them in a designated area underneath the register. Each organization will be responsible for the tips that are collected throughout the day.
Sanitation is a very important part of volunteering in the concession stands. Prom managers in the tents will instruct all volunteers on the proper sanitation practices that must be followed. Volunteers shall clean hands and exposed portions of arms with a cleaning compound in a designated hand washing station. Hands should be cleaned by vigorously rubbing together the surfaces of lathered hands and arms for at least 20 seconds and thoroughly rinsing with clean water.
Hand washing stations are available in each concession tent. Volunteers shall clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms immediately before engaging in food preparation including working with exposed food, clean equipment, utensils, unwrapped single service and single use articles and:
- After touching bare human body parts other than clean hands and clean exposed portions of arms;
- After using the restroom;
- After coughing, sneezing, using a handkerchief or disposable tissue, using tobacco, eating, or drinking;
- After handling soiled equipment or utensils;
- During food preparations, as often as necessary to remove soil and contamination and to prevent cross contamination when changing tasks;
- After engaging in other activities that contaminate the hands.
There is a meteorology staff on-site monitoring the possibility of inclement weather. If a storm is approaching, special “weather warning” signs will be posted on leader boards around the course. Horns will also sound indicating play has been suspended due to either heavy rain or lightning.
In the unfortunate circumstances that we have rainy weather, please know that our concession stands must be open unless severe weather arises.
If play is DELAYED, there will be a minimum 45 minute wait before play resumes. Please note that our concession tents do stay open if play is delayed. You must plan to work your regular scheduled shift if play is delayed.
If play is SUSPENDED, there will be no golf played for the remainder of that day and you do not have to report to your volunteer shift.
In the event that there is a tie during the Final Round on Sunday, the event will go into a Monday Playoff. If this does occur, we will open a select number of concession stands, to be determined on Sunday afternoon. We will need volunteers to work that day. Your organization will be given additional credit for these shifts, should you choose to volunteer. We always appreciate that help. You may be asked if you are willing to work on Monday. Please consider coming out for the final round!
THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING! HAVE FUN!
